Privalia - Error Pages

Privalia is the leading e-commerce company for flash sales in Spain. Within the Veepee Group, number 1 in the sector in Europe, it offers great discounts on top fashion, home, tech, food and travel brands exclusively for its customers. Privalia Skin is part of the global convergence project between both brands where the Privalia style will be adapted to the Veepee platform.

Challenge

Create a new version of the Privalia error pages to unify the UX within the Veepee platform in order to meet the brand convergence project.

My role

In the project was to carry out the research and analysis of the UX and create a proposal to solve all the pain points. In order to visually show that "something has gone wrong", I created a range of visual designs where a product cannot work because one of it’s pieces are missing. The page was completed by copywriter Elena Martín, who created an error message text that was fun, short and easy to understand for any type of person. Finally, once the design was approved, I was in charge of the follow up for the implementation with the development team and design QA.

Solutions

I designed a clean layout that focused on visually showing what type of error is being shown to the customer. We achieved a more comprehensible experience by matching the message with the object and by using a friendly vocabulary. I employed the Poppins typeface in different sizes to establish a hierarchy in the presentation of the error and its explanation.
